\n\u2981 The description of the dental office is done as a game, with examples of characters from its environment
\n\u2981 A beneficial psychological support would be to bring along a favorite toy or friend
\n\u2981 Appointments made in the morning until lunchtime are more successful in terms of cooperation because the child is rested
\n\u2981 The small patient should be introduced gradually into the practice, so in the first session a consultation and possibly a brushing will be carried out.
\n\u2981 If this does not happen, the child should not be forced, as a result, appointments with the doctor will be more frequent
\n\u2981 Despite your best efforts, you know when to give up: if he won’t stop crying, don’t force him! Give it some time, then try again!
\n\u2981 In your discussions there should be no words: ‘pain’, ‘fear’ or ‘injection’. Verbalised fear or threats will only drive him further away from us
\n\u2981 Any previous unpleasant experience of yours or others is not good to share with your child
\n\u2981 Excessive guarding and excessive curiosity about the steps of treatment at the time of treatment are not good for your child, because you also pass on the feeling of insecurity to your child.
\n\u2981 The young patient can be accompanied into the dental surgery until they feel comfortable with the medical team. Allow him to be independent and strong!
\n\u2981 Adopt an optimistic attitude and treat these meetings as simple, routine and positive!
\n\u2981 The child should be constantly praised and involved in everything the doctor does
